In the whirlwind of change that's swept through SAP over the past few months, I've found myself reflecting deeply on the impact it's had on me, personally. Someone recently asked me why these changes have hit me the way they have, and upon reflection, I realized it's because my career has been shaped by incredible individuals who believed in me, taught me, challenged me, and guided me. I wouldn't be the professional I am today without those who supported me and saw something in me when I lacked the ability to see it myself or encompassed the naivety that prohibited me from realizing how much growth I still needed to achieve.Many of these mentors and colleagues have taken different paths, whether it's through early retirement or pursuing new opportunities. Their absence has left a void. A void that has left me feeling the loss of those who mean so much to me, a loss of their influence, and guidance, but mostly, I feel the responsibility to step into the role they once occupied.Amidst this uncertainty, I've come to understand that change isn't just about loss; it's also about growth and evolution. While I may not feel worthy of taking on the mantle of influencer that they once held, I'm committed to embracing the journey ahead and giving this ecosystem everything it has contributed to me over the past 18 years.As SAP welcomes a new generation of talent, I see an opportunity to pay it forward. I'm eager to share my knowledge and experience with anyone who seeks it. Together, we can navigate these changes, learn from one another, and emerge stronger than ever before.Here's to embracing change, seizing opportunities, and continuing to grow, both individually and as an ecosystem.
